The basics of fuses
Under normal circumstances, the fuse plays the role of connecting the circuit in the circuit.
In the case of abnormal (overload), the fuse acts as a safety protection element in the circuit, and cuts and protects the circuit safely by fusing itself.
How the fuse works
When the fuse is energized, the heat converted by electrical energy increases the temperature of the fusible item. When the normal working current or the allowed overload current is passed, the generated heat radiates to the surrounding environment through the meltable and the shell, and the heat generated by convection and conduction is gradually balanced with the generated heat. If the heat generated is greater than the heat emitted, the excess heat will gradually accumulate on the meltable, causing its temperature to rise; When the temperature reaches and exceeds the melting point of the meltable item, it will be melted, fused and cut off the current, which plays a role in safety protection of the circuit.
